 What We Believe

Affirmation of Faith

We preach Christ.  His birth, His baptism, His works, His teachings, His crucifixion, His resurrection, His ascension, His second coming, His White Throne Judgment, the new heaven and the new earth, when He shall put all enemies under his feet, and shall reign eternally, forever and ever.

We believe the Godhead consists of 3 persons in 1:  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that these are separate and distinct persons possessing separate and distinct recognizable personalities and qualities perfectly united in one and are not to be thought of in any sense as merely 3 names for one person.

Mathew 3:16, 17

We believe in the FULL GOSPEL.

The Divine Trinity- In Mathew 3: 16, 17 we read of the cooperation of the 3 persons of the Godhead: And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and lo, the heavens open unto Him: and lo, a voice from heaven saying, “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.”  (See II Corinthians 13:14; Mathew 28:19, 20)

Repentance Toward God- Repentance is a Godly sorrow for sin, with a renunciation of sin.  Act 20:21, Acts 3:19, II Chronicles 7:14, Ezekiel 18:21.

Restitution- The Bible teaches that wrong against our fellow man for which we can make amends must be righted.  We must have a conscience void of offense toward God and man.  Restitution includes restoring where you have defrauded, stolen, or slandered: paying back debts, and making confession.  Exodus 22:3, Leviticus 6:4, Proverbs 6:31, Ezekiel 33; 15, Luke 19:8-9.

Justification and Regeneration- Justification is the acts of God’s grace whereby we receive remission of sins and stand before God as though we had never sinned.  Acts 13:39, Romans 3:25-26, Romans: 1, I Corinthians 6:11, Galatians 3: 24, John3:3, II Corinthians 5:17, Titus 3:5, I Peter 1:23, Acts 10:43.

The Great White Throne Judgment- God will finally judge the quick and the dead according to their works.  Revelations 20:11-14, Daniel 12:2, Acts 10:42

The New and The New Earth- The word teaches that this earth which has been polluted by sin shall pass away after the White Throne Judgment, and God will create a new create a new heaven and new earth in which righteousness shall dwell.  Mathew 24:35, II Peter 3:12-13, Revelations 21:1-3, Isaiah 65:17, Isaiah 66:22.

Eternal, Heaven and Eternal Hell- The Bible teaches that Hell is as eternal as Heaven.  Mathew25:41-46.  The wicked shall be cast into a burning hell, a lake burning with fire and brimstone for ever and ever.  Revelations 14:10-11, Luke 16:24 Mark 9:43-44.

Water Baptism- One immersion (not three) “In the name of the Father, of The Son, and of The Holy Ghost,” as Jesus commanded.  Mathew18:19, Examples:  Mathew 3:16, Acts 8: 38, Types: Romans 6:4-5, Colossians 2:12.

The Lord’s Supper- Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper, that we might “shew forth the lord’s death till he comes.”  I Corinthians 11:23-26, Luke 22:17-20, Mathew 26:26-29.
