About The Bishop

Bishop Jesse Bervin Ransom
A Man after God's own heart

ishop J. Bervin Ransom
is the 3rd of 11 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ransom of Taylor, Louisiana and later moving to Texas.  He attended Little Flock Baptist Church.  After graduation from Booker T. Washington High School in Forney, Texas, he attended Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas with Business Management in mind but God had other plans for his life.

In 1967 God saved him in a small town called Ansbach, Germany.  Bishop Ransom was in the US military at the time God revealed himself.

After returning home from Germany, God saved souls through his witnessing.  As a result, Trinity Temple was born and was started at the very juke joint that used to occupy his time and many of the new believers, years earlier.

Later, God moved Trinity to Denley and Renner, in Dallas Texas, and then to its present move of 5415 S. Polk Street, in Dallas, Texas since 1986.

In February 1978 Bishop Ransom married Cynthia Pitts of Seattle, Washington.  First Lady Ransom is the 2nd child born to the late Mr. Lon Wesley and Mrs. Rachel Suggs Pitts.  She graduated from Rainer Beach High School and continued her education at Seattle Pacific College.  First Lady Ransom is a first lady like no other.  She is the personal secretary to the Bishop.  She's very supportive of her husband and the members.  First Lady is very hard working and energetic in doing whatever is needed of her.

In addition, Bishop and First Lady Ransom have been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Gina and Leslie, and the proud grandparents of Landon J. Ransom-Goelz and Giselle M. Ransom-Kidd.

Bishop and First Lady Ransom work diligently and the vision is still yet unfolding.  On April 22, 1991, Bishop Ransom was inducted into the Episcopal College of Bishops.  The Trinity Temple family has sent missionaries to Jamaica, West Indies, and Africa.  On May 29, 1993, Bishop organized, "Hands Around Dallas: Taking Our City Back Through Prayer."  This accomplishment received recognition and support from former Mayor Steve Barlett and the late Governor Ann Richards.  Additionally, Trinity Temple Full Gospel Church has produced recordings that have received international acclaim along with the "Texas State Choir of the Year" Award.  Many other accomplishments have also been birthed through Bishop and the Trinity family.

Bishop Ransom is dedicated to the work of the Lord and the welfare of his congregation.
